GETTING TO KNOW YOUR INSPECTOR
A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
My name is David Ferguson. My family and I have been residents of Katy, Texas for over fifteen years and residents of the Houston area for over forty. We are active members of Second Baptist Church, West Campus, and have four children. Our two oldest sons are serving in the United States Air Force, my youngest son is in high school and daughter in Jr. High. We enjoy fishing, camping and all kinds of outdoor activities as a family.
MY EXPERIENCE:
My professional background began in the 1980’s when I began my career as an apprentice electrician. In the late eighties, I was hired by The Austin Company where I served as the company’s construction yard superintendent. Soon after, I transferred from the construction yard into the field where I trained as a field engineer. From the field, I was promoted to the main engineering offices to work as an electrical designer in the company’s engineering department. During my 8 year tenure with The Austin Company I was exposed to many facets of commercial design, engineering and construction.
In 1994, I felt called to leave the Austin Company to go into full time pastoral ministry. My family and I were instrumental in establishing a Baptist church in the Katy area. During my tenure with the church I continued to use my construction and design knowledge by serving the church as co-designer/Engineer and General Contractor. As acting superintendent over the church's building project, I saw the project through from conception to completion. I served the church from November of 1994 through April of 2008.
Most currently, I obtained my Professional Real Estate Inspector's license (TREC #10171) after graduating from the Champions School of Real Estate. I passed my state exam in October of 2008 and have been practicing as a licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector since. I have provided daily on-site inspection and construction management services for the Free Will Baptist church of Tomball and the First Colony Bible Church of Sugar Land.
My wife is an interior designer and owner/operator of Interiors Refined, LLC. Interiors Refined provides complete design and remodel services to clients, and, together, we have designed and completed a number of kitchen, bath and other remodel projects.

Whether I am working on behalf of the real estate professional, home owner, insurance company, or mortgage company, my clients must have the assurance that I will represent them with integrity and professionalism at all times.
